We called for a few different estimates from other companies, and when we met Hal, we decided that he was the professional we wanted to go with. Communication with Hal was excellent. He scheduled our appointments with realistic timeframes, and he was always prompt, very clean, and organized. The jobs took exactly as long as he told us they would, and he had cleaned up everything so all that was left was the shutters installed perfectly. We had difficult custom windows that would normally make plantation shutters hard to install, and they look amazing!! We now have the most beautiful plantation shutters installed on almost all of our windows (15 of them so far). Hal's professionalism and expertise is very precise and he is very much a perfectionist when it comes to ordering the correct type and look we were looking for. His finish work was fantastic. We felt he went above and beyond. He is very conscientious about the end result. We will have Hal back to finish the remaining windows (5 more) when the time is right for us.
I would recommend Hal to my family members and close friends. He is totally trustworthy, knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. I like that the guy that comes to give the estimate, and measure is also the guy that comes back to install the plantation shutters as well. Very personable and very professional.

My husband and I decided to have Hal Ryerson of Windowology in Auburn WA help us with the window treatments for our entire home in 2002. Hal did an excellent job in working with us to meet our needs both in choosing the right window coverings and considering our budget. The process was simple and timely. Installation was handled very well. Since then, we have been able to call Hal when we have had any questions and recently, in 2011, he was willing to service several pull cords on high-use blinds that had problems. We appreciate his willingness to provide service so many years after we purchased the product. Window-ology owner, Hal ryerson, is fantastic. I had a couple of bids on my window coverings and his was the best price. The blinds are made by Hunter Douglas and he installed them and they look beautiful. Three years later I had a small problem and one of them was stuck halfway down, he came right out and fixed the problem, no charge. I highly recommend his company for all your window blinds. Pat

Hal installed our blinds several years ago, and he beat every other price that was out there. He was very friendly and professional. Recently I needed some valance clips for the vertical blinds, but could not find them anywhere. I called him to ask where I could find these and he sent them to me free of charge. You don't find awesome service like this often. I would go to Hal at Windowology again and recommend him to anyone needing blinds or shutters or etc.

We installed new windows and needed many new window coverings. Because I had to match various wall colors, I wanted someone to come to my house, do all the measuring and show me samples. I talked to Hal, the owner, on the phone to give him an idea of what I might want. When he came out he had lots of samples and good ideas of what would work in each room. He also showed me things that I had not thought of. I enjoyed working with Hal and all our window coverings look beautiful. The prices were good (I did shop around) and the customer service and installation were excellent. I would definitely recommend this company.
